Dr. Krishnamurthy conducts interdisciplinary research that integrates core topics in mechanical engineering such as design and manufacturing with those in computer science such as geometric and topological modeling, human-computer interaction (especially virtual and augmented reality for design), and artificial intelligence. His work also investigates interactive workflows for design and visualization to gain insights on how humans perceive and perform creative decision-making tasks in collaboration with intelligent agents in the early phases of design.
